Postpartum Recovery Kit Checklist Printable

This postpartum recovery kit checklist is a free printable that helps you stock up before the baby arrives.

The Postpartum Recovery Kit Checklist is a free 2-page PDF for expecting and new moms. You can type into it or print it.

Page 1 lists 19 postpartum essentials in four stations (bathroom basket, C-section extras, feeding station, comfort and medicine) with a tick box for each, tagged for any birth, vaginal birth, C-section or feeding, plus a stock-up date. Page 2 is a fridge sheet: the CDC’s urgent maternal warning signs, spaces for your care team’s phone numbers, your two postpartum checkup dates, and the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline.

Print on US Letter. Free for personal use, no email required. This checklist is not medical advice: call your provider with any worry.

Every item explained, with picks: postpartum essentials.

How to use the postpartum recovery kit checklist

Stock the bathroom basket first, as it’s the one you’ll use most in the first weeks. Pick the C-section extras only if they apply to you. Set up the feeding station near where you’ll sit most, with water, snacks and burp cloths within reach.

Put page 2 on the fridge and fill in your care team’s numbers before the birth. It lists the CDC urgent maternal warning signs. Call your provider or 911 if any of them appear. The postpartum recovery kit checklist is a guide, not medical advice.
