Bedtime Routine Chart Printable

This bedtime routine chart printable gives your child a picture-by-picture plan for the end of the day.

The Bedtime Routine Chart Printable is a 3-page PDF you write once and use all week.

Page one is the chart itself, with space for your child’s name, tonight’s goodnight phrase, and a box to mark whether you are running the regular routine or the short one. That box is the useful part: the short version stops being a failure and becomes a choice.

Page two holds the cut-out picture cards. Pick five to eight, place them in order, and leave out anything your family does not use. Cut, laminate if you want, and attach them with tape, magnets, or hook-and-loop dots. Page three is a weekly bedtime tracker for the stretches you want to keep an eye on.

Every field is fillable, so you can type it on a phone or print it and write it by hand. US Letter, no email required.

How to set up the bedtime routine chart printable

Pick five to eight picture cards, such as bath, pajamas, teeth, potty, book and lights out, and put them in the same order every night. Let your child help choose the order and move a card to done after each step. Children cooperate more when they can see what comes next.

Use the short routine box for late nights, so skipping the bath feels planned rather than like a broken rule. The American Academy of Pediatrics lists how much sleep children need by age, which helps you set a realistic bedtime. A bedtime routine chart printable keeps the steps the same, even when the evening isn’t.
